Where the olfactory met the visual, stop and smell the roses was an
exhibition that invited viewers on a sensory journey through the home
fragrance brand Dasein. Stemming from German philosophy, Dasein
encapsulates the art of ‘being present’, infusing an extra dose of joy
into your ‘days in’.
Inspired by the essence of Dasein, the show of London-based artists
was a celebration of indulgence, weaving a narrative around themes of
femininity, peace, pleasure, nature, and the essential element that
defines Dasein’s candles: the senses.
Morrell House in Shoreditch set the stage for this immersive
experience; a sanctuary that reminded us to indulge. It was the perfect
backdrop for an exploration of art that engages the senses. stop and
smell the roses encouraged a conscious connection with the pleasant
moments found within our domestic environments, emphasising the
tranquillity that can be felt in our immediate surroundings. The
exhibition was an ode to self-care and a journey that evoked a sense of
stillness and harmony.
