Cheer to the Echo
20.06.24 - 27.06.24

Heading 4

In June 2024 The Sidings in Waterloo Station hosted the multidisciplinary exhibition, Cheer to the Echo. The group show of paintings, drawings, ceramics and sculptures honoured the journeys of the artists’ practices and celebrated their current work's identity. Cheer to the Echo featured the UK-based artists’ work that served as ideal representations of their current artistic expression. It offered the artists a moment to pause and reflect on their body of work thus far, before embarking further on their creative development. The week-long exhibition presented works that included social and environmental themes, using a wide spectrum of materials and techniques that have characterised the chapters of some of the artists’ practices. Deliberate selections of colour palettes and recurring motifs have also paid tribute to their distinctive bodies of work. Other art forms have accompanied their practice to complement their visual expressions, such as poetry and writing, enriching the emotional and conceptual depth of their artwork.
